Yesterday, our branch was thrilled to welcome a very special guest from the Gurnee Police Department— therapy dog Mira! The visit brought smiles, comfort, and plenty of tail wags to our residents. Spending time with the Mira created a calm and joyful atmosphere, giving residents a chance to relax, connect, and enjoy some extra love and attention. Moments like these remind us how powerful animal-assisted therapy can be in lifting spirits and supporting emotional well-being. We are so grateful to the Gurnee Police Department for taking the time to visit our community and share their incredible therapy dog, Mira, with us. It was truly a heartwarming experience, and one our residents will be talking about for days to come!
