Watch your loved one thrive in an environment that feels like home
Navigating the aging journey is difficult.
We understand what’s at stake here: it’s not just someone, it’s your loved one.
Meanwhile, it’s on you to make the difficult decisions.
There's a Higher Path for our seniors
Senior care today is reactive, expensive, and siloed. It’s a sick-care system, not a health-care system (designed to keep seniors healthy). Most of us have accepted this status quo because it feels too big and complex to change. Not us. We’re taking the road less traveled and championing a higher standard of senior care.

All the employees that we have communicated with throughout the past month have been wonderful. Please keep these pleasant attitudes. We especially like when you encourage her. We can see that she is very content. Now for the challenge for (name removed) and I, to remember all the caregivers names. Thank you for all you do. We'll see you in a month.

Overall very satisfied with Bickford Still waiting for a key that works in my mom's closet.

Mostly, I'm VERY happy with the services and care my mother receives. The BFMs are kind and thoughtful to the residents, and come across as very caring. However, it was maddening to have told the aides that my mom's bath towels were missing 5 days ago, and when I was there yesterday, the towels had still not been located. My mother's things are marked with her name or initials, so the towels should've been found within those 4 days. Mom doesn't take her towels anywhere, I'm sure, so how did they disappear? I look in the laundry room to locate missing items every time I see my mom, and the towels weren't there since I discovered them missing. How do 2 bath towels and at least one hand towel just disappear? Besides that, missing towels also tells me she hasn't been showered for at least a week... she really needed a shower when I was at Bickford on July 27. (And I know she's a pill about being helped with that- I'm so sorry!) I've also been alerting people to my mom's missing trash can, which everyone said they remembered, for a month at least. It was finally located, washed, and returned yesterday when I asked about it for at least the 4th time. I know people lose their glasses a lot, but since I'm mentioning important missing things, if anyone sees a pastel pink glasses case in other residents' rooms, Mom's pink/purple rimmed glasses may be in them.

I appreciate the extra efforts put forth toward caring for my brother. It's not always easy. He's not your typical guy… But there are many of you that can see him as he is and meet him on his level… Learning to connect with each resident is an art… And I appreciate so much those of you who have figured him out I also wanted to take this time to simply ask about the family advocate position… Bickford used to have a family advocate that families would reach out to and then that person would then direct the question or comment onto the appropriate person… It seems that… Well, it seemed at the time that was a good process… Because I always feel bad calling (name removed)…… And it seems that a "advocate" would be advocating for families at bickford. But from what I understand that's more of a sales position, right? Like many other places, the opportunity to add people is skim, but wouldn't it be nice to have a person like that on staff who could also answer phone calls and the door etc.…?

The Staff treats my mom as if she were Family and I love it!

I love the caring staff from the top, (name removed), to the med techs to the caregivers. I wish I could name them all but my memory isn't that good

While I'm really happy with my mom's care, it upsets her to not know who is assigned to her each day. I don't why it bothers her so much to not know because she is always taken care of but if she could be told each morning, that would be one less thing for her to stew about!
