Teamwork makes the dreamwork! The whole directing family team had some great team-building time this past week as we helped out in our bread basket kitchen service!

Today, we went to Panera Bread for lunch, and the residents and I wanted to give a shout out to "Patience" - a very appropriately named Panera Bread employee! In a restaurant that you typically go to the counter to order, she was so eager to push tables together, carry our walkers to the corner, and wait on us with exceptional service, even during their busy lunch hour. She even asked each resident their names as she took their order, very patiently helped them decide what to eat, and then continued to call them by their name for the rest of the meal service. Amazing. Of all the times I've taken residents out to eat, I think this was the best service we've ever received (and we've had some very exceptional waiters, so that's saying something!) As Elsie said, "there are some very good people in this world!" -couldn't have said it better myself, Elsie! Thank you Patience and Panera Bread of Independence for dedication to your customers, and to our seniors!

One of my New Year's resolutions is to paint more- both on my own and with Bickford friends! We have many talented artists here at Bickford, they're good at teaching me a thing or two! Carol here is working on her painting, "Cardinal in the Snow"

The process of finding a place for your loved one is hard enough, we’re here to make it easier. To help you navigate this change most effectively we remove the barriers and give you what you really want - pricing first!

Base Rate    +    Care Rate    =    Real Rates

Base Rate

$80 to $250 per day. Range depends on the apartment you choose.

Care Rate

$25 to $125 per day. Range depends on the care and services needed.

Community Fee of $450 per month for ten months.

It’s that easy.

Whether or not our pricing fits in your budget, we ask you to consider 4 things:

  1. Know that there may be financial resources available that you might not be aware of.

To explore this, take advantage of our complimentary third-party financial concierge service – Elderlife Financial
  2. Know that our rates are all-inclusive*.

Don’t forget our rates include meals, care, activities, basic utilities, housekeeping, linen and laundry service, and more! All-inclusive details.
  3. Know the affordability of senior living.

Many families are surprised at the affordability of senior living as compared to what they are currently spending at home. Check out our Expense Worksheet to compare for yourself.
  4. Remember what matters most.

While there are many things you should buy at a discount, care isn’t one of them.

It is easy to say that we do whatever it takes to make our residents happy, but the real question is – are our current residents actually happy?

Read below to find out how happy our current residents and families really are.
