We love for our residents to experience moments of joy that bring them back to good times in their past. These #unforgettablemoments are what we treasure the most at here at Bickford. "Resident, Maurice grew up in Somerset, Kentucky. Turning 101 on March 12th, it's been a long time since he's been in school. Our Assistant Director Stephanie reached out to the very Elementary school he attended. The teacher at Hopkins Elementary then made a book with her class of 101 things they would give Maurice for his Birthday. This 1st grade class really outdid themselves with such a thoughtful gift. Thank you so much Mrs. Langdon & Class for taking Maurice back in time!"

This March, Laura has been spending time in the evenings doing activities! This day, Introductions were made and they all had a SWEET time chatting about Tea and sharing LOVE / Marriage stories. Laura brought in several pieces of her personal tea-ware collection from France, Germany, China and Australia. The ladies really enjoyed the beauty of the pieces and discussing where they all were made from around the world. They also enjoyed the hot tea and treats. All the ladies are big chocolate LOVERS!

Only been 30 days but so far so good! Staff seems friendly and attentive. Our mother seems to be adjusting and getting some strength back that she had lost with recent stroke. Fingers crossed and praying that Bickford continues to be her answer.

Content with personal help to my Mom but wish they could pay more attention to taking care of her clothes and room.

Staff is warm and caring, but the food quality, consistency, and flavor has been unacceptable. My mother is probably too kind to complain.

As far as I know, Mom and Dad have had no issues the last 30 days. Thanks! (Name Removed)

Our family really appreciates the care and concern our mother receives from all staff. The nursing care assistants are very attentive to changes and let the nurses know if " something does not look right or if something has changed". This only comes from caring nurses who take time to instruct their nursing assistants as to why any change may be indicative of an underlying problem ready to surface. Good communication skills among staff is so important in keeping resident care a top priority and then communicating their changes/needs to family. It is so good to once again to see interaction from outside the facility getting back to a Pre-Covid state. We pray for a safe and healthy winter for all. Keep up the great work. We appreciate all that you do.

My mom is, according to hospice, "actively dying." I am very appreciative of the Bickford team's outpouring of care and love.

Raised moms care which is over $1000 more a month. We have expressed our concerns with her declining care numerous times. We will find her with numerous shirts on sometimes head in sleeve or backwards. Wearing 2-3 depends at a time and soiled bedding. Hair not even looking combed. Medication sitting on nightstand. Appears to be lacking adequate staffing. Not sure it is much better care than a nursing home at this point.
