We recognized Mexican Independence Day today at Bickford Peoria. We played a brain game where we came up with different words from the letters in the word GUACAMOLE and enjoyed homemade 7-layer Mexican bean dip made by our HC, Emily!

Adventures in the Peoria Community Day Today, we hopped on Howie the bus and took a drive out to Tanner's Orchard. We enjoyed lunch in the cafe and a little shopping! We also invited Bob Reed to come by and give a presentation on the Peoria Honor Flight. It was a good busy day!

We've been busy having fun adventures at Bickford Peoria! Yesterday, we played lucky 9s BINGO with raffle basket prizes donated by Traditions and Transitions Hospice! Everyone who had a 9 number on their card when 9 numbers were called, received a raffle entry! We even got our VP of Health and Wellness, Robyn to join in on the fun! Today, we enjoyed a drumming circle with Shelly. Shelly taught us about African and American Indian drums and music. We also had live toe tapping music by Winston Dunbar!

Today at Bickford Peoria, we kicked off Assisted Living week with Art Adventures! We started the day by making fresh flower arrangements for dining room tables and front lobby. Then enjoyed a sip and paint class sponsored by Stephanie at St Francis Woods and Cindy a local Medicare Insurance Specialist. Thank you to Stephanie and Cindy for their time and talent!
