Meet Bobby L. My HigherPath success story for the week. Bobby has adjusted remarkably well since moving here from another Senior Living Community. He has embraced his new environment with positivity and enthusiasm. Bobby is quickly becoming an active participant in daily life here at Bickford of Bloomington. He has been thriving in group activities especially exercise classes what we like call "sweating to the 70s" and everyone's forever favorite Bingo, where he brings great energy and a friendly spirit. Bobby has also expressed deep gratitude for the warm welcome and kindness he has received from both residents and staff alike. Bobby's positive outlook and willingness to get involved have made him a wonderful addition to our community here at Bickford of Bloomington! Here at Bickford of Bloomington we have been using groundbreaking technology to track the health and vitality of our residents. We have used this technology to prevent falls, eliminate med errors and even track resident cares. Data and new technology can really fine tune the healthcare communities. As much as we love data and numbers, we do like to have a little fun along the way. Each week we will feature one of our lovely residents with their alter egos. This week we have chosen Queen Janice. Mrs. Janice was crowned the Queen of Bickford during our last Valentines Sweethearts Ball. This is an intimate portrait of her likeness then, and now. My how time flies.

At Bickford of Bloomington we are hosting a drive through hot chocolate/ hot coffee and cinnamon rolls day. December 17th. 10am-4pm. You don't even have to get out of your vehicle. Our Culinary Director Dennis Davis outdid himself today. He always keeps our residents on their toes by creating 5 Star worthy restaurant meals. On this day, he made Honey Buttered Carrots, Handmade Fettuccine Noodles, and Melt In Your Mouth Tarris Major Steaks. This meal was fit for a king. Here at Bickford of Bloomington we place a priority on family and this past Thanksgiving was no different. It was so good to break bread with our amazing family members that have trusted their moms and dads with us and under our care. We truly appreciate you all for sharing them with us. Meet Kathy G, my HigherPath for this week. Kathy recently celebrated her 78th birthday, where she enjoyed being paraded around by her favorite CNA Kayleigh, sporting her red as usual. Kathy has been doing so much better lately. After a period when she wasn't eating much, she now and enjoys more food, especially cheeseburgers thanks to Kevin's support from the kitchen. Our new nurses here at Bickford of Bloomington have also made a positive difference helping her feel more comfortable and engaged. She's been thriving with our recently introduced Montessori program here at the branch, she absolutely loves it! Kathy is enjoying activities more, staying active, and spending far less time lying in bed, which we ar Bickford of Bloomington think is a wonderful thing to see.
